E performs 'A Song For You' by Leon Russell  :)

I have been rinsing the absolute hell out of this ever since I first heard it, can NOT stop playing it.

I am becoming concerned that my addiction will eventually cause me to lose my friends, my teeth and my sanity.

If anyone notices it as an mp3 for sale anywhere, pleeeeeease let me know as going to the website every time is getting old...

I did!
i really enjoyed the film and his music in the context of the documentary.
Hasn't made me a massive full-on fan of his music but i liked both and I'd say it was totally worth a watch and a listen.
The journalist in me noticed a few questions that were asked and unanswered which bugged me a little but on the whole it was good.

I think M and S are much bigger in the States than we realise over here. They were higher up the bill than Foo Fighters and other bands I thought were way bigger at the Bridge School Benefit 18 months ago.

Still seems wrong though, doesn't it?!  ???

hey, no worries!
I'm sure I'll see him on keys one day and it'll be all the sweeter for the anticipation.

In the meantime I'll just keep going back to that stunning clip :)

It's official: August 6-14, me, Amsterdam, etc. I might make a trip or two outside of the city, though I can't imagine where.

London? :)

Did you go with the Van Gogh hostel in the end?

God, you know the idea of an E solo tour with just a piano is one I like very much indeed. Think of all the brilliant piano songs he's done, and all the other songs he could rework.

Yes yes yes yes yes!!!

Sorry.
Went a bit Meg Ryan there at the mere thought of a tour like that.

Absolutely stunning.
I am now even more desperate to see E play keys live than I already was.
Which was a lot.

Yeah, as budget accommodation goes, the Van Gogh was a good option. The April 2 paradiso thread has some other options suggested as well.

I'm at a macrobiotic health spa in spain for the weekend and all i can think of about an hour after every meal is that bit in E's book where he goes to the retreat and he's told to sneak in food because he won't get enough hippie food. It's so true.

Not really an Oasis fan, but Noel's ability to deliver a withering putdown is second to none. For that alone I quite like him.

Yeah, that's about the only appreciation I have.

I've been avoiding this all day cos I loathe Liam and his hideous voice but curiosity got the better of me in the end and I kind of get Jonny's point in the OP about structure etc.

The only Oasis stuff I didn't mind was sung by Noel so hopefully this will never darken my eardrums again.
