Well, I wasn't actually standing next to the photographer...

I had to interview E that afternoon for a magazine I worked for back in the day. And when I arrived some 15 minutes early, the photographs were being taken in a quiet place on the 'entresol' (don't know the English word for it) of the hotel, while I was talking to the record company employee that was coordinating the interviews that day about 15 meters away from the shoot.
