Hey people, I was perusing the 'writing songs' thread and I was just thinking... so many songwriters and I've never heard any of your stuff...

So come hear and share your latest work! It be fun, I hope.

To kick off, here's my latest. It's a bit of a farce... but admittedly most of my work is farcical these days

just a couple of freestyle guitar things i did, ie. not knowing what i was going to play until i hit record. rhythm first then lead obviously.

i need better equipment and i need to write songs with vocals.

i liked the soviet tb song a lot - it jumped out at me. the rest are alright too.

the only constructive criticism i have is that i feel like the drummer doesn't always keep tempo 100% of the time. if the drummer improves, you're golden

i would really like mp3s of all three if possible. thank you

I am the drummer. But yeah, I'm out of time a lot. It was the second time I had practiced the songs with the band. We only got one take at it as well. I'm sure it will be sorted in the future.

Just realised I've been whoring this out everywhere else but here. Some of you may already have heard this if you're facebook/twitter friends with me, but for the rest of you, here's my band's Beatles cover, which we recorded as a birthday present for my best friend.

Great cover - it's one of my favourite Beatles songs anyway, but you do it a great service. I particularly like when the drums and guitar come crashing in during the chorus, really nice touch. So yes, please continue to whore around these parts.

That's pretty cool. What effects are going on on the mic/guitar?

Thanks guys, there aren't effects on the mic  - our singer just shouts into a dynamic mic. Guitar effects - I use a DOD American Metal and Marshal Supervibe and our other guitarist uses Electro Harmonix Big Muff and Memory Man.
