Some old photos of Eels messageboard people
« on: July 02, 2012, 10:38:09 PM »
hello!

Making my annual check-in :)

I went for a drink with Monkey and Butterfly earlier . . . it was suggested I should upload photos from old Eelsfests, so here I am.

These are mostly of people - I'll upload some more of the band at some point (there are far too many to sot through right now).
I've not tagged people - far too much effort.
You'll see (amongst others): Butterfly,  Monkey, Pasty King, Wooly, AEIOU, Rachel, Billy, Sjaakie - and lots of others.

10 Oct 2005 - Eels @ Royal Albert Hall

12 June 2005 - Eels @ Queen Elizabeth Hall, London

19-21 May 2006 - All Tomorrow's Parties

23 May 2005 - Eels @ Royal Festival Hall, London

23 June, 2006 - Eels @ Astoria, London

24 June, 2006 - Eels @ Wireless (Hyde Park, London)

I heartily approve of all of almost all of these pictures!

I will also add a few of my own...

I'm not even in that one, that's AEIOU on the right (such concentration!). That was from the ATP extravaganza, so similar time to all the other photos, I think it just looks older due to the retro disposable camera (remember them?)

I've just dug aournd and unearthed Rachel (Maple Tree)'s album from the same weekend, so here are a few choice morsels for your delectation, and hopefully to prove that we weren't underage...

That ATP weekend was ace. I seem to remember our chalet being invaded by some really annoying drunken women for a bit. Wasn't there a whole album's worth of pictures that Rachel had stuck on photobucket or some such site?

They are fun, and you certainly should partake.  :)

I keep thinking it would be good to do something exciting for the next tour (or even before if E's slow about touring again)
What with so many European Eels fans in a relatively small area, we should have a truly international affair. Now Bini's in the right hemisphere as well it could be truly global.
So...weekend in Amsterdam?

We were talking about them the other day. They just wouldn't go away, would they?

So...weekend in Amsterdam?

I was supposed to be going there this year with one of my friends but that plan fell to pieces.

You mean you have other friends.....not on the board? That definitely rules you out.

I have no friends and Amsterdam is half an hour away from me. Plus I know where all the good prostitutes are.

These photos make me nostalgic for a community I was never part of. Although, they do seem to be increasing moral around here. Amsterdam EELSFest would be excellent.

If you can think of a better way to keep them fresh then I'm all ears. I'm not interested in a repeat of the ziplock bag debacle.
